A HEALING SERVICE will be at 11:15 a.m. Sunday at Unity of Lehigh Valley, 26 N. Third St., Emmaus. The healing service is a facilitated process that uses energy work, guided visualization, affirmative prayer, and/ or sound healing techniques to assist individuals with removing blocks and promoting a sense of calm and relaxation. Facilitators are trained in Unity affirmative prayer and also have training in energetic healing modalities.

ORGAN RECITAL. Internationally acclaimed organist Katelyn Emerson will present an organ recital at St. Anne Catholic Church, 450 E. Washington Ave., Bethlehem, at 4 p.m. Sunday. POCONO PRAYER BREAKFAST.
The 28th annual Pocono Prayer Breakfast will be held at 6:15 a.m. Oct. 3 at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, 250 Kalahari Blvd., Pocono Manor. Doors to the Kalahari Event/Conference Center open at 6:15 a.m. Breakfast buffet is available from 6:15-7:15 a.m.
The formal part of the program starts at 7:15 a.m. and concludes by 8:30 a.m. Afterward, there will be a short social that runs through 9 a.m. The Stroudsburg High School band opens the program every year with a military tribute to honor our veterans, and this year, they will feature students from Faith Christian School who will sing during the breakfast hour and before the Prelude. A special performance of “Is He Worthy” will be sung by the students during the program.
Retired Maj. Gen. Julie Bentz is the featured speaker. Bentz retired from the U.S. Army after a successful 33-year career. She served on the Executive Office of the President National Security Council for three consecutive administrations as senior advisor for emerging technologies, deputy senior director for weapons of mass destruction, director of strategic capabilities, director of nuclear defense policy, deputy director of the Joint Improvised Explosives Device Defeat Organization and vice director of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. She holds a master’s degree in national security strategy from the National Defense University, a Ph.D., and a master’s degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Missouri. Bentz will share her testimony of how her faith has shaped her personal life, sustained her through loss and influenced her immense professional success.

THE BACH CHOIR OF BETHLEHEM
celebrates its 125th anniversary and will hold its 2023 Gala Concert and Fundraiser Nov. 4 at Packer Chapel, Lehigh University, 27 Memorial Drive W., Bethlehem.
The concert will feature the Bach Choir, Bach Festival Orchestra, and invited international soloists for the global premiere performance of Felix Mendelssohn’s interpretation of J.S. Bach’s St. Matthew Passion. This will be recorded live. The CD recording will be available for sale to the public in 2024.
Following the concert, about 150 Gala Benefactors will attend a special dinner and fundraiser at Saucon Valley Country Club. Gala Benefactor tickets will be available for purchase by phone only.
