Dolores M. Heleva
Dolores M. (Novak) Heleva, 84, of North Whitehall Township, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late Arthur J. Heleva. Born in Allentown, August 19, 1939, Dolores was the daughter of the late Louis J. and Hilda I. (Eichner) Novak.
She received her undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College and earned a master's degree from Middlebury Language School. After graduation she lived in France to further her language education. Upon returning to the
U. S. she taught language in the Scotch Plains, NJ SD until marrying her husband Arthur, of 40 years. Dolores substituted with the Whitehall Coplay SD while raising her family. She dedicated her life to raising their children and spending time with family. She loved to gather the family together for Sunday dinners after church. Dolores also enjoyed gardening, crafting, taking in shows, getting together with friends, and traveling. She was a member of Egypt Community Church, Whitehall.
Survivors: Children, Scott A. Heleva and his wife, Valerie of Schnecksville, Todd J. Heleva of Northampton, Daniel A. Heleva of Frackville, Deniece A. Knauss and her husband, Lee of Davidson, MD; brother, Robert L. Novak and his wife, Carole of Fogelsville; grandchildren, Hailey, Hazel, Kiera, Jesse, Brooke, Heather; great-grandsons, Daniel, Alex; grand-puppies, Doc, Chloe; predeceased by siblings, Louis C. Novak, Richard J. Novak, and Barbara A. Heffelfinger.
Service: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am. Saturday, September 23, 2023, in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route
309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Dr. J. Bradley Roth officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:00 am. -10:30 am. Saturday at the funeral home.
