Aldonna (Donna) Johanna (Blaskevica) Zalokar, age 92, passed away on Dec. 16, 2023 in Whitehall, PA. She was born on June 8th, 1931 in Cleveland, OH to her parents Joseph and Anna (Matulis) Blaskevica. She attended Collinwood High School and received a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea,

OH. Donna married Robert Zalokar and started their life together on August 22, 1953. Donna started her career teaching kindergart­en in Cleveland, OH and soon began raising their six children, Laura Ann and (Lee) Fetzer,

Debra Z Storm, Patrice Marie and (Kevin) Hill, Barbara Lee Zalokar, Lisa Ellen and (Matt) von Nieda and Robert Zalokar, Jr. After moving to the Allentown area, she became the founder and director of the Nativity Lutheran Child Developmen­t Center (preschool and day care) where she was revered by her students and parents. She was successful in all of her endeavors; Gym Leaders in high school, president of her sorority, child care provider and kept busy sewing clothing for her young children, gardening, flower arranging, reading, and playing bridge. She left a trail of friends wherever she lived. She loved tennis and golf and traveled with her husband throughout the U. S. and Europe. Her grandchild­ren: Lynn and (Mike) Weller, Ellen and (Kevin) McMonagle, Anna and (Weston) Garton, Sarah and (Chad) Felts, Ryan and (Tara) Hill; Andrew Hill and Lukas and (Jessica) Hill; Sam and (Julia) Jones and Teddy Jones; Olivia and (Sahebjeet) VonAurora, Simon and (Victoria) Von Nieda, and Isaac von Nieda; Julia and Aiden Zalokar and Great grandchild­ren Maybelle, Clara and Gabriel Weller, Lilly, Jolene, Hank and George McMonagle, and Zachary and Garrett Hill and Leo and Kinsley Felts forming a loving relationsh­ip among them all. Aldonna was a wonderful wife, mother and friend and was loved by all and will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held on Tues., Dec. 26, 2023 at 1:00 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 12 Noon to 1:00 PM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
