Nancy Flemming, 83, of Bethlehem, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lansford, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Eleanor (Miller) Thomas. Nancy cherished her memories of Lansford and kept up weekly with many dear friends from

“the coal region.” Nancy was a graduate of Gettysburg College where she was active in the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and graduated

Cum Laude with a degree in Business. The highlight of her college experience was the lifelong friendships she made. Nancy married Ron Ellsworth Flemming of Bethlehem and had two beautiful children, Kirk Thomas and Kristin Eleanor. The family was active in the First Presbyterian Church. For many decades, Nancy was an award-winning real estate broker and entrepreneur. Her wit and business acumen allowed her to achieve many successes including mentoring and making clients into life-long friends. Nancy enjoyed travelling the world with friends and companion, Lee Hutwelker. Nancy was a steadfast activist for children. She supported and served as a board member for children's non-profits and organizations. She was an advisor for young women in the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority at Lehigh University. She was an amazing artist, avid reader, always in vogue, creative writer, and fierce puzzle solver. Nancy had an infinitely curious mind, and boundless witty comebacks. Nancy herself was boundless and timeless.

Of all Nancy's triumphs, her greatest was her family: her son Kirk (2018), daughter Kristin and her husband Stephen Swanick, grandchildren: Kara, Stephen, Kylie, and Tal. She is also survived by sister-in-law Carole Gawlik. Her unwavering commitment and love for her family was paramount.

Nancy's legacy is the strength and kindheartedness she has imparted to her children and grandchildren. Her remarkable character has been an inspiration.
