Robert A. Grider, 89, passed away unexpected­ly at his home in Moore Township on Tuesday, January 09, 2024. His beloved wife of 66 years, Lorraine D. (Derhammer) Grider, passed away on December 20, 2023. Born in Allentown, Robert was a son of the late Charles W. and Gertrude (Miller) Grider. A 1952 graduate of William Allen High School, he later honorably served in the United States Navy. Robert had a successful career that spanned more than 40 years at the Bethlehem Steel Corporatio­n, where he worked in the rolling mill, before retiring as a foreman. He was a true sportsman who excelled at bowling and loved the game of golf. Additional­ly, Robert enjoyed hunting and was an ardent fan of the Philadelph­ia Eagles and Phillies.

He is survived by his daughter, Robin Perun and husband, Roman, of Albrightsv­ille; four grandchild­ren, Eric Lilly and wife, Pat, Nichole Knauss and husband, Doug, Cory Perun and wife, Jennifer, and Mandi Perun; Nine greatgrand­children, Austin and wife, Haley, Steven, Cheyenne, Hailey, Sierra, Kendall, Mason, Riley, and Chase; four great-great-grandchild­ren, Jordan, Adalynn, Jaxon, and Ryder; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Lorraine, he was predecease­d by a daughter, Gail M. Guzick; a sister, Sylvia Nonnemaker; and three brothers, Thomas, Charles Jr. “Chubby”, and Eugene Grider.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME,

LLC, 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Saturday morning from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Interment with Military Honors will follow in New Hope Cemetery at Little Moore, Danielsvil­le.

Contributi­ons: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be offered to Camp Freedom, 284 Number 7 Road, Carbondale, PA 18407.
