The Top 3 Lehigh Valleyarea concerts this week make for an interesting foray into a time when jazz, swing and big band were all the rage, plus a little

R&B infused pop for some balance.

First is a band that took us into a “Zoot Suit Riot” back in the ‘90s bringing their brand of swing, jazz and ska to the neighborhood. Next is a world-renowned Whitney Houston tribute paying homage to the iconic pop sensation with a full-blown concert that includes a live band, choreographed dancing, and a singer that nails every note, move and look. Last is a jazz/swing/ big band revival group from Philadelphia repurposing classic songs of the jazz era and slightly beyond from 19221945.
