Harrison R. "J.R." Kline, Jr., 71, of Bushkill Twp. passed away, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at his residence. He is the husband of Marjorie A. (Smith) Kline. “J.R.” was born in Easton, on November 3, 1952 to the late Harrison, Sr. & Gladys (Everitt) Kline.

Harrison dedicated much of his life to serving his community as the Bushkill Township Supervisor, Roadmaster and worked at the yard waste facility. He was honored with a lifetime achievemen­t award by the Bushkill Township Volunteer Fire Co., showcasing his unwavering dedication to the betterment of his community. Harrison was a member of the Bushkill Township 200th Anniversar­y Committee, the Whitfield Masonic Lodge No.

622 F & AM in Tatamy and a member of Boy

Scout Troop 44. Outside of his civic duties, Harrison cherished moments, playing Santa Claus, riding motorcycle­s, exercising his woodworkin­g skills, and tending to his yard with love and care. His passion for these hobbies brought joy and fulfillmen­t to his life, creating lasting memories for those who knew him well. SURVIVORS: In addition to his wife of 39 years; children: Brandon R. Kline and Sarah M. Kline both of Wind Gap; granddog: Oscar; brother: Bruce H. Smith and his wife Debbie of Kunkletown. Harrison is predecease­d by brothers: John Smith and Robert P. Smith

SERVICE: A Viewing will be held from 4 to

7 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024 in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC,

2165 Community Drive Bath – 18014. A Masonic Service will be held at 7 p.m. followed by prayers and a time of reflection by family and friends. On Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11 a.m. the Bushkill Township Volunteer Fire Co. will be holding a “last ride” which will traverse through Bushkill Twp., family and friends are invited to begin gathering at the Firehouse at 10 a.m. (155 Firehouse Dr - Nazareth 18064). CONTRIBUTI­ONS: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be offered to the Bushkill Township Volunteer Fire Co.
