William R. Lentz (Bill), 75, of Schnecksvi­lle, passed away on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest Campus. For eighteen cherished years,

Bill was the devoted husband of Janice I. (Semmel) Lentz. Born in Allentown, he was the beloved son of the late Robert W. and Katharina (Wimmer)

Lentz.

A graduate of Parkland High School, Bill's passion for music shone brightly. He played in a band and even recorded an album, a testament to his creative spirit. Shortly after this musical achievemen­t, Bill answered the call to serve, enlisting in the United States Navy. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge, Bill followed in his father's footsteps, working for the family plumbing company. He later transition­ed to the hospitalit­y industry, holding positions as a hotel night manager and maintenanc­e technician at Olympic Gardens. Bill's career culminated in many years of dedicated service as a chauffeur for J & J Limo, from which he eventually retired. Bill was also a faithful member of Horizon Church of Allentown.

Survived by his loving wife, Janice, his children, and grandchild­ren who will always cherish his memory, including his son, William A. Lentz and wife Julie of Branchdale, PA; daughter, Angel R. Lebak and husband Alan of Lawrencevi­lle,

GA; and grandchild­ren Timothy, Rachel, and Dominic.

Those who knew and loved Bill are invited to a visitation in his honor on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Harding Funeral Home, Inc., located at 25-27 N. 2nd

St., Slatington, PA 18080. A memorial service celebratin­g Bill's life will be held at 11:00 am in the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Robert Daneker. Following the service, he will be laid to rest with military honors at Slatedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons may be made to LV Hospice (2024 Lehigh St., Suite 100, Allentown, PA 18103) in Bill's memory. Harding Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to serve Bill’s family in their time of need.
