Thomas J. Tilley

Thomas J. Tilley, 71, of Coopersburg passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospice. He was the husband of Lois (Deibert) Tilley for 49 years. A graduate of Southern Lehigh High School, he earned an Associates degree from Paul Smith's College and a Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University. Along with his brother, Ricky, he started a landscaping company, Tilley's Nursery, Inc. in 1975. The retail garden center was opened in 1982 and has grown into a successful business and has served the Southern Lehigh community for over 40 years, Tom enjoyed barbeque competitions, sporting clays, horticulture, and traveling. Over the years his hobbies took him around the world, visiting Brazil, England, Germany, Thailand and many more places making lifelong friends and memories. He gave a lot of his time to many organizations including Ducks Unlimited, Shriners International, International Water Garden Society and the Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association. Tom was a Master Mason belonging to Saucon Prosperity Lodge #469 where he was involved with many of their charitable causes. He has been a member since 2004 and served as Secretary of the Temple Association since 2011. He was always prepared for a new adventure, whether traveling or trying new foods and was ready to share barbeque recipes and a good story.

(wife Kathy), William and Mark (wife Suzanne) Mother: Anna, 10 nieces and nephews 5 great nieces and great nephews Sister-in-law: Linda Pustarfi (husband Stan) Predeceased by his father James Tilley, sister-in-law Lisa Tilley, father-in-law Franklin Deibert, mother-in-law Kathryn Deibert.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Stephens Funeral Home, 274 N. Krocks Rd., Allentown, PA 18106. A calling hour will be held at the funeral home from 1:30-2:30.
