– Thomas years old of Lorain, Ohio died on Thursday , November 2 7 , 2014 at Bradley B a y Health Center in Bay Village, Ohio.

Tom was born on September 2, 1950 in Elyria and lived here most of his life. He was a chemical processor at BASF (formerly Harshaw Chemical) and also owned Lake Erie Fish and Chips with his wife. He was a 1969 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School and attended St. Mary’s Church in Elyria. He served in the United States Army serving two tours of duty in Vietnam as a member of the Army’s 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles. A 30 year member of AA, he was often called on to be a sponsor. He also was a member of the Elyria Knights of Columbus, #774. Tom loved to fish.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lynn (nee Fair-

LORAIN McGuire 64 clough) ; two sons, Whitaker Davis of Lorain and Jason McGuire of Murfreesbo­ro, Tennessee; three grandchild­ren; and two great grandchild­ren. Also surviving are two brothers, Matt (Nancy) McGuire and Mark (Torry) (Donna) McGuire, both of Elyria.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Alice (nee Tarry) McGuire.

Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio on Monday, December 1, 2014 from 5-8 P.M. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with the Reverend Father Charles Diedrick, Pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church, officiatin­g. The VFW Post 1079 will provide full military honors.
