Tribe walks off with win over the Nationals
Quirky breaks in ninth inning help Tribe to score three runs, snap losing streak
Francisco Lindor pushed an RBI single through Washington’s drawn-in infield with one out in the ninth inning, and the Indians rallied for three runs in their final at-bat to stun the Washington Nationals 7-6 on Tuesday night in a matchup of two first-place teams with sights on October.
Down two runs and three outs from their losing streak reaching a season-high four games, the Indians rallied against Nationals closer Jonathan Papelbon (2-4), who did not get an out before he was pulled by manager Dusty Baker.

Jose Ramirez started the rally by drawing a walk.
Pinch hitter Tyler Naquin then drove a liner to left center for a double, scoring Ramirez.
Chris Gimenez tried to bunt Naquin to third and first baseman Ryan Zimmerman fielded it and threw to first. The ball glanced off Gimenez’ helmet and down
the right field line, allowing Naquin to score and Gimenez to go to second.
Lonnie Chisenhall was intentionally walked and when Rajai Davis tried to sacrifice the runners up a base, the third baseman charged in and Davis popped his bunt over his head. Everyone was safe.
