Local briefs LCCC holding info sessions
Lorain County Community College announced it will hold several information sessions for the Micro-Electrical Mechanical Systems and microelectronics technology programs.
All sessions will take place in room 140 of the Richard Desich SMART Commercialization Center, 141 Innovation Drive in Elyria, and they will take place: 6 p.m., July 28; 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Aug. 2; and 6 p.m., Aug. 3.
The MEMS degree is a hands-on college degree on microelectronics with a focus on work based learning through paid internships to build that necessary skill sets for students entering the microelectronics industry, according to a press release. The MEMS and microelectronics technology programs utilize state-of-the-art laboratory facilities containing equipment for testing, troubleshooting, calibrating, analyzing, designing and assembling of electronic and MEMS systems.
