Portion of Jaycox Road to be closed

Jaycox Road construction will begin in Avon, which means a road closure which could affect residents and businesses.

On Aug. 9, KMU Trucking & Excavating Inc. of Avon will begin construction to widen a portion of Jaycox Road north of Detroit Road and south of Chester Road.

During that time, Jaycox will be closed to all northbound traffic between Detroit and Chester roads. The path of the southbound lane will be subject to variations and traffic controls until the road widening is done.

According to the city, local and emergency access to businesses and properties in this area will be maintained. The road will be closed from Aug. 9 to Nov. 1.

The city urges all drivers to observe all traffic barricades, signs, warning lights and temporary signals.
