On the field: The senior standout has gotten off to a strong start, scoring three goals while adding an assist in the Falcons’ win over Port Clinton. Brightbill tallied an assist in Firelands win over Edison.
Sarah Leighliter LORAIN, SENIOR >> VOLLEYBALL, MIDDLE HITTER
On the court: In the first game of the season, Leighliter had 15 digs, six kills, six aces, three blocks, and 17 service points in a 3-0 win over Open Door.
Sarah Schuckman ELYRIA CATHOLIC, SENIOR >> VOLLEYBALL, SETTER
On the court: Schuckman had 20 assists, 11 digs and eight aces in the team’s first game of the season, a 3-0 win over Trinity.
Rosy Turner OBERLIN, FRESHMAN >> SOCCER
On the field: The freshman has started her varsity career with a bang, scoring two goals against Lorain on Aug. 23 in a 6-0 win for the Phoenix.
