Crushers beat Bums

TRAVERSE CITY, MICH.»The Lake Erie Crushers won their fourth in a row as they pummeled Traverse City, 12-5, on Aug. 26.

Sean Hurley had four hits and four RBI for the Crushers, who scored in double digits for the third straight night.

The Crushers struck for three runs in the third inning. Eric Grabe walked and Hurley doubled. Max Casper then singled and an error by the second baseman allowed the second run to score and Casper to go to third.

Parker Norris scored Casper with a sacrifice fly.

The Beach Bums scored a run in the fourth on Elija Trail’s sacrifice fly.

Lake Erie pushed to lead to 5-1 in the fifth.
