Actions don’t belong on company time
I have another slant on (Colin) Kaepernick’s actions. He is an EMPLOYEE of the San Francisco 49ers. In my opinion, an employer has the right to set certain standards and expectations of its employees. Having been employed for 44 years, I knew what was acceptable and unacceptable behavior at work. Utilizing company time to make my political views known was never acceptable at any of the establishments where I worked.
I am weary of professional sports players using their celebrity status while at work to make “statements.”
I suggest they do what the rest of society does when they have an issue that they are passionate about; peacefully protest, write a letter to the editor, form a group to address the problem, buy radio or TV time to express your view, but please ,not on company time. Pamela Falasco
