New trash system will be hardship

Shame on our city law makers for passing the new trash collection system when so many people were against it.

There is nothing beautiful about having those huge buckets sit in front of our homes. And now I will need to make two trips to put buckets on the tree lawn and then retrieve it later.

Right now after the Republic trucks go by my lawn is clear. And I don’t need to make a second trip to the tree lawn.

I am 85 years old and this will be a huge hardship. Right now I put a bag of trash in my car and drive it to the tree lawn. I may need to quit recycling.

I hope we remember this when it is time to vote again. Connie Stewart
