Health center offers free mammograms

Free Mammograms for those who qualify will be offered from 7:30 a.m. to noon, Oct. 29, at The Women’s Health Center at Mercy Regional Medical Center, 3700 Kolbe Road in Lorain.

This program also is available on a daily basis, based on individual needs, according to a press release.

Call Debbie at 440960-3624 with questions and to begin the registration process. Participants must call this number to take advantage of the program.

These scheduled events include a free mammogram and free breast health education. This program is for women age 40 and older who are low-income and/or uninsured/underinsured.

Funds for this program are provided by Community Foundation of Lorain County, Mercy Foundation of Lorain County, Catholic Health Partners Foundation and the Pink Ribbon Fund.
