Sherry M. Patterson (nee: Maxwell)

Sherry M. Patterson (nee: Maxwell), 51 years of age, and a resident of rain, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017, at Oak Hills Nursing Home in rain. She was born April 10, 1965 in herst, Ohio. Sherry graduated from South Amherst High School. She had made her home in Lorain for the last nine years. Sherry was a devoted wife and mother and loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting. Sherry loved traveling with her husband while he was driving truck and collecting post cards from each state they visited. She had a great sion for the Pembroke Welsh Corgi dog breed.

Survivors include her husband of eighteen years Richard Patterson; her sons Jeffrey Arbaugh (Erika) of Lorain; Alton Stevens (Alice) of Pikeville, KY and Richard Patterson, II of Lorain; her daughter Charity Whyte (Andre) of Copperas Cove, TX; ten grandchildren; her mother Barbara Maxwell (nee: Hale) of Lorain and her sister Christa “Shelly” Newman (Armando) of Wakeman. She was preceded in death by her father Jeffery W. Maxwell in 2009. Friends may call Thursday, February 23, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Friday, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst.
