Tyvez McCullum , 22, of Elyria, was arrested shortly after at an address in the 100 block of Tedman Court in Elyria. He is charged with complicity to attempted murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary, Costantino said.

A fourth suspect, Jermaine McCullum Jr. , 21, of Elyria, was arrested on Nov. 16 on complicity to aggravated robbery and four counts of complicity to kidnapping.

In a release from the U.S. Marshal’s Service, Tyvez and Terrell were featured as Fugitive of the Week in October 2016.

All three suspects are being held at the Lorain County Jail and will appear in Elyria Municipal Court on April 10, according to court records.

Costantino praised the assistance provided by the U.S. Marshals office and the work of Elyria police Detective Robert Whitling in bringing the fugitives to justice after a monthslong investigation.

“Detective Whitling never gave up looking for these individuals and obviously his persistence paid off,” Costantino said.

At about 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 30, 2016, masked gunmen attempted to rob an Elyria man in his apartment at Midview Crossing located at 1864 Middle Ave. in Elyria. The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.

Costantino said in October a woman and a few children were also in the apartment at the time of the break-in.
