Pierogi sale: St. Anthony of Padua Parish Church and School, 1339 East Erie Ave. Lorain, will host a Pierogi Sale on Good Friday, April 14. Available are potato with cheese or sauerkraut; cooked $7 a dozen with butter and onions or frozen $6 a dozen. Also, cabbage and noodles will be available. No walk-ins will be accepted after 4 p.m. Clothing sale: Cornerston­e Church, 2949 W. River Road, North, Elyria will host a clothing sale 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., April 22. Clothing will be $1 per bag and the bag will be reusable and supplied at the sale. There will be a wide variety of clothing items for sale. Concession­s will also be available. Drive-thru dinners: St. Jude Women’s Guild at 180 7th St. Columbiana, will be offering drive-thru dinners from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out) every first Thursday of the month. The menu will include stuffed pepper, homemade mashed potatoes, homemade applesauce, roll/butter & dessert. Price is $8and all proceeds will go to “Rebuilding together in Faith, Hope & Love” campaign to renovate and expand our church. Sunday services: Old Stone Church, 553 S. Fatima Centennial marked: Fatima Centennial Tridumm will be May 13-15, at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1339 E. Erie Ave., Lorain. A 2 p.m. procession from Century Park to St. Anthony Church will be followed with the story of Fatima and Marian Holy hour and ending with a Mass at 4 p.m. May 13. On Sunday, May 14, it will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the Rosary followed at 10 a.m. with a part Latin Mass by Fr. Thomas Sanders. Mass will begin at 8:30 a.m. May 15 followed by the living Rosary with the St. Anthony School children and the Crowning of the Blessed Mother at 9:45 a.m. For questions, call 440-2880106. Catholic Golden Agers to meet: The Catholic Golden Agers will meet at 11:30 a.m., April 19, in the social hall at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Amherst. The menu is pizza, salad, pickles, chips, dessert and drinks. The donation is $4. The Lorain County Office on Aging will be presenting an informativ­e program on the many services offered to senior citizens that you may or may not be aware of. Roman Catholic Church, at the corner of 15th Street and Lexington Avenue, Lorain, will host a special service of Lenten Lamentatio­ns in English at 2 p.m., Palm Sunday (April 9). This beautiful and moving devotion, honoring the Passion of our Lord, had its origins in the theatrical passion plays of the Middle Ages and is particular­ly beloved by the Polish people. The service includes Benedictio­n, hymns, and a period of reflection. Parking is available in the lot off 14th Street. Call 440-2449090 for more informatio­n. Free to all and all are welcome. Services planned: Lorain Faith UMC, 2201 Reid Avenue, Lorain, will host the Good Friday Service at noon, April 14, Easter Morning Service at 8:30 a.m. and the traditiona­l Easter Service at 10:30 a.m., April 16. A music fest will be presented from 7 to 9 p.m., April 20. New as well as familiar songs will be featured. Parking is located across the street. Easter food sale: An Easter food sale will be held at Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, 2238 E. 32nd St., Lorain, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., April 8. There will be cabbage rolls, cabbage and noodles, pierogi, Easter breads, nut rolls, poppy seed rolls, assorted desserts and other foods. The church will host the annual Easter Egg Hunt for children at 2 p.m., Palm Sunday, April 9. The event is organized into age categories. Participan­ts will have the opportunit­y to take home candy and special prizes. A special worship service will begin at 7 p.m., Maundy Thursday, April 13. “The Living Last Supper” will include an open communion table (all are welcome to receive) and portrayals of Jesus’ 12 disciples and his mother, Mary. There will be three worship services on Easter. A Sunrise Service will take place at 6:30 a.m. at Butternut Ridge Cemetery (meet in the lower parking area). The second and third services of the day will be hosted in the church sanctuary at 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. The

Rummage sale: The Sullivan First Congregati­onal Church Spring Rummage and Bake Sale will be April 7-8. It will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 7 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 8. April 8 will be fill a bag for $2. Donated items will be accepted beginning April 3. No electronic­s such as TVs, VCRs, and computer monitors will be accepted. For questions, call 419-736-2786. Rummage sale: Heritage Presbyteri­an Church, 515 N. Leavitt Road, Amherst, at the corner of routes 2 and 58, will host a rummage sale 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 29. Set-up the day of the sale is 7 to 8:30 a.m. Vendors are asked not to sell food or drinks and vehicles may be driven to the space for unloading but must be moved into assigned areas during the sale. There will be no parking available at local restaurant­s. Spaces are available in multiple outside spaces and are 10 feet by 16 feet for $12 each, tables are not included. Limited inside spaces are available for $20 each and include two 8-foot tables and chairs. Reservatio­ns and payments are required in advanced to hold a spot. Make checks payable to Heritage Presbyteri­an Church and mail or drop off at the church Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bring your receipt on the day of sale. (If you mail your payment, a receipt will be mailed to you.) No items inappropri­ate for church grounds may be sold. All unsold items must be removed at the end of the sale.
