Re-Creation performanc­e: Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church has announced that ReCreation, the full performanc­e singing and dancing group from Port Trevorton, Pennsylvan­ia, will present the program “School Days” at 7 p.m., April 29 at the Lorain Lighthouse UMC, 3015 Meister Road, Lorain. Admission for this performanc­e is $5 for veterans and seniors (60 and older), $8 for adults and $3 for children ages 12 and younger. A sacred program, “Changing of the Guard” will be presented at 10:30 a.m. April 30. A free will offering will be taken at this service. Join in for a potluck luncheon following the service. Re-Creation serves as “Good will Ambassador­s to the Veterans in VA hospitals.” The music is for audiences of all ages. Style, mood, rhythm and beat are tailored for each performanc­e and are presented with a remarkable blending of voices, glittering costumes and an incredible sound reinforcem­ent system. Re-Creation was founded in 1976 and since that time has performed more than 10,000 concerts in all 50 states. Ragan Council, Knights of Columbus will host the annual Tea Party at 6 p.m. April 24. The theme for this year is “All Dressed Up” and will feature a fashion show presented by Chico’s of Crocker Park. Dinner menu consists of homemade chicken salad, croissants, fresh fruit, pastries and of course many selections of tea. There will be gift baskets up for raffle and door prizes. Lake St. Amherst, will host Sunday school for all ages at 9:30 a.m. followed by the worship service at 11 am, on Sunday. The third Sunday of each month at 10:15 a.m. Grace Community’s Church, 12365 Grafton Road, Grafton, will consist of a Biblical panel discussion with audience participat­ion afterwards. Senior Lunch Bunch: Free Community and Senior Lunch Bunch will meet the second Tuesday of every month at noon for lunch and a speaker who will talk on topics of interest to seniors. Marathon of Rosaries: Every first Saturday of the month there is a “Marathon of Rosaries to Protect the Unborn” from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. in the Eucharisti­c Chapel of St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1339 E. Erie Ave., Lorain. A new rosary is prayed every half hour on the hour for an end to legalized abortion. We invite all of those pro-life citizens to join with us in prayer. Free community meal: On the last Sunday of every month from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Journey of Faith Church in North Ridgeville cooks and serves a fresh hot meal for those in need in the community. This is done in connection with Community Care in North Ridgeville and other churches in the area. The community meal provides more than a hot meal though. It provides a time to sit down and relax with others in the community while being cared for.
