Northwest Savings Bank, 124 Middle Ave. in Elyria, is gearing up for Community Banking Week this month.

The Ely Square Office will observe this year’s theme, “Grow your Community,” with events and activities during the week of April 24.

“We would like to thank our customers and community for their continued support,” said Brand Manager Charles DeAngelis. “We are proud to call Elyria home and want to showcase some of the great things our area has to offer.

“We invite all of our friends and neighbors to visit

us during Community Banking Week.”

Throughout the week, visitors can enter a drawing for a chance to win a gift card. The coloring contest is open to the public.

From April 24-28, the Elyria Arts Council will display

artwork and the Elyria Historical Society Bicentennial Rotating Exhibit also will be on display at Northwest Bank.

On April 27, the bank will have customer appreciation refreshments, DeAngelis said.

“We will be providing hotdogs, chips and water for customers to enjoy,” he said.

On April 28, customers may visit the bank for Animal

Protective League Adoption Day.

Cats and dogs will be in the building for local residents to adopt, DeAngelis said.

“This is one of the ways our bank thanks our community and the people who make it up,” he said. “We recognize and honor our community and invite everyone to stop by our branch so we can visit with them and thank them personally.”
