Chorus to host spring event May 12

The Amherst Community Chorus will present “Swing Into Spring,” a concert featuring music from The Big Band Era, George and Ira Gershwin and Broadway at 7 p.m., May 12, at St. Joseph Social Hall.

Favorites such as “Sentimental Journey,” “Summertime” and “Of Thee I Sing” as well as Broadway favorites from Fiddler on the Roof, Evita, Wicked and Cabaret will be featured.

Tickets are available at the door. Cost is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $4 for students. Children age 5 and younger will be admitted are free. Free refreshments follow the concert.

The chorus is in its 21st year under the direction of Simone and Steve Gall.
