Clippers: Shawn Morimando (1-3, 6.65 ERA) picked up his first win as Triple-A Columbus won at home against Lehigh Valley, 3-2, on April 26. Morimando went seven innings, giving up one run on three hits. Chris Colabello had a tworun single for the Clippers. RubberDuck­s: Double-A Akron continued its puny hitting, scoring one run on a passed ball in a 4-1 loss at home to Binghamton. Akron starter Nick Pasquale (1-1, 4.57) took the loss, giving up four runs on four hits in six innings. Hillcats: AdvancedA Lynchburg pounded host Salem, 13-7. Martin Cervenka hit a solo homer and Claudo Bautista added a three-run shot for the Hillcats.

Captains: Single-A Lake County was blanked by host Great Lakes, 7-0, extending the Captains’ losing streak to six. The Loons scored six runs in the fourth inning against starter Juan Hillman (1-3, 10.59) and reliever Tanner Tully. Logan Ice got the Captains’ first hit after the first 11 batters were set down in order.
