Blues stay alive, force Game 6 with Predators
Dmitrij Jaskin scored in his first playoff game this season and Jaden Schwartz got the game-winner, helping the St. Louis Blues stay alive against the Nashville Predators with a 2-1 victory in Game 5 of their secondround series on May 5.
Schwartz scored 25 seconds into the third on a rebound off a Colton Parayko shot, giving St. Louis a 2-1 lead. Schwartz has a teamhigh four postseason goals.
Jake Allen made 21 saves for the Blues, who had dropped two in a row.
James Neal scored for the Predators, and Pekka Rinne made 30 saves.
Game 6 is in Nashville on Sunday.

SPURS’ PARKER’S SURGERY A SUCCESS » The Spurs say veteran guard Tony Parker has undergone successful surgery to repair a ruptured left quadriceps tendon.
The team said Friday’s procedure was performed by Spurs physician Dr. David Schmidt and a timeline for Parker’s return will be determined later.
The 34-year-old Parker was injured May 3 as the Spurs evened their secondround playoff series against the Rockets, 1-1. HAWKS MAKE FRONT OFFICE CHANGES » Mike Budenholzer resigned as the Atlanta Hawks’ president of basketball operations and will remain as coach, the team announced on Friday.
The Hawks also removed Wes Wilcox as general manager as part of the reorganization of their front office.
The team announced that Wilcox resigned and will become a special adviser to ownership and will begin a search for a new general manager.
The Hawks said Budenholzer will remain involved in personnel decisions.
