Main St., LaGrange For the record: As stated in last week’s softball notebook, this is Keystone’s district to lose. That fact does not change after Padua defeated Brookside for the right to face the Wildcats . ... Keystone enters the tournament on a three-game win streak, and is the winner of 12 of its last 13 games. The Wildcats’ only loss in that span was to Massillon Perry at the Prebis Memorial . ... Simply put, the Wildcats have outstandin­g pitching, hitting and defense and won’t be tripped up this early.

For the record: Talk about teams entering the postseason on polar opposites. Firelands has won five games in a row following a May 10 showdown with Columbia. Rocky River, on the other hand, enters the postseason having lost five of its last seven. That skid comes hot on the heels of a seven-game winning streak. ... This one could come down to what is better: the arm of Firelands’ Ashley Strauss in the circle, or the loaded lineup of Rocky River that features Mo Cain, Marissa Smiley and Catie Wolons. Fairview earned the No. 3 seed for a reason: When the Warriors are playing up to their abilities, they are a dangerous team. The issue is that, as of late, Fairview has not been playing up to its potential . ... Entering the week, the Warriors had dropped four in a row and seven of their last 11 . ... Buckeye advances to a sectional final after dispatchin­g Patriot Athletic Conference foe Clearview, and the Bucks have to like their chances against another PAC foe. For the record: It has been a rough season for the Longhorns. Lutheran West remains winless entering the postseason, and trying to beat Oberlin is a tall task to ask, particular­ly when Phoenix pitcher Bryanna Rivas has been lights out this season . ... Oberlin appears to be emerging from a rough patch, winning a pair heading into the postseason after dropping six of its previous 10 . ...
