Woman allegedly assaulted after drug deal

-

A 24-year-old Lorain woman claims she was assaulted by a drug dealer earlier this month after she was given crack cocaine to try out at West 16th Street and Reid Avenue, according to a Lorain police report.

About two weeks ago, the woman was given crack cocaine to try, which she did, the report said.

A couple of days later, the victim saw the male again, who she described as a “dope boy,” according to the report.

The man told the woman she owed him $20 for the crack, the report said.

The woman told him she didn’t owe him any money because he had given to her. The man demanded the money and the woman ran away, according to the report.

On May 21, the woman was returning a car she used to drop off a friend in the 1900 block of Lexington Avenue when she was approached by the suspect again, the report said.

The suspect demanded his money again and the victim attempted to run away, but was grabbed and struck, with a closed fist, in her face by the suspect, according to the report.

The woman escaped and called police.

The suspect is described as a heavy set black male, with crooked front teeth and about 40 years of age, the report said.

He has been seen in the past driving a beige Jeep Grand Cherokee, according to the report.
