Virginia “Ginny” Evelyn Williams (nee: Gatchell), 95 years of age, and a dent of Amherst, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Providence Care ter in Sandusky, following a lengthy ness.

She was born January 5, 1922 in Mt. Blanchard, Ohio where she was raised and graduated from high school. As a young adult she came to Lorain, and was employed Thew Shovel. She tually moved to Amherst and went on to work at Ridge Tool for more then twenty five years as a order entry secretary. Ginny was a former member of Old Stone United Methodist Church in Amherst. She loved being a homemaker and ished her role as wife, mother and grandmothe­r. She was a member of the Stonington Lodge Eastern Stars. Ginny enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter Karen Hajduk (Daniel) of Uniontown, Ohio; five grandchild­ren; seven great dren; and her sister Dorothy Montumery of Ada, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-eight years Richard O. Williams on December 17, 2013; her son Richard O Williams II in November, 2016; her brothers David Gatchell and Paul Gatchell, sister Doris Risser, and her ents Walter and Gail Gatchell (nee: Foreman).

Friends may call Friday, June 16, 2017, 5-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. neral services will be held on Saturday, at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.

The family suggests that memorial contributi­ons be made to Stein Hospice; 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
