Police and court briefs Report: Driver of prom crash had pot in system
The driver in a crash in Eaton Township that killed a 17-year-old Midview High School student May 21 had marijuana in his system, according to a news release from the Ohio Highway Patrol.
At 3:11 a.m., Chase E. Johnson, 18, of Grafton, was driving west on Route 82 when he entered a grassy median near the intersection, striking two utility poles, the release said.
Johnson had enough marijuana in his system to be considered “legally impaired,” according to the release.
Lindsey Mae Rotuno died as a result of injuries from the crash.
The crash remains under investigation, the release said.
