The Morning Journal (Lorain, OH)
Library offers Book Builders Club
Youngsters are invited this summer to the Book Builders Club at Lorain Public Library System’s Domonkas Branch, 4125 E. Lake Road in Sheffield Lake, and build a better world through reading.
The next sessions run from 11 a.m. to noon, June 27 and July 11.
The builders club will explore inventions in engineering and science that have made the world a better place. Enjoy a story, help construct awesome creations and then stay for a catered lunch.
On June 27, participants will come for the Riveting Aerodynamics program. Be like Rosie Revere, who sees treasure where others see trash as she invents new things. Read her story, then build a flying machine.
On July 11, the club will feature a Rube Goldberg Machines program. Children will explore the world of simple machines and try to create a Rube Goldberg machine (a series of simple devices used in a domino effect.)
