FCII Festival: The First Community Interfaith Institute 38th annual FCII Festival will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily through the second week in July, July 6-9. The locations involved in the festival will be Kanisa House, II, 142 Cleveland St., Elyria on Thursday; LCC, 1005 North Abbe Road, Elyria on Friday and Saturday, and Kanisa House II, 142 Cleveland St., Elyria on Sunday. Public invited to picnic: St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 2711 W. 40th St. Lorain, will host a picnic from 5 to 9 p.m., July 15. There will be music and dancing with Ed Klimczak, children’s games, corn hole and a 50⁄50 raffle. There will be cabbage rolls, sausage and kraut, cabbage and noodles, desserts and beverages for purchase. The event is open to the public. Drive-thru prayers: The congregati­on of Fields United Methodist Church is offering free prayer support via a drive-in event from 5 to 7 p.m., June 29. Persons requesting prayer simply drive in to the church parking lot at 34077 Lorain Road, North Ridgeville, and will be directed to the next available prayer station. Members of Fields will listen to the drive-thru request and pray with the person or persons right then and there. If a person wants additional prayer support, their request will be taken in writing and presented to the Prayer Ministry team at Fields. Vacation Bible School: Barnyard Roundup is for children ages 6 through 12, and will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m., July 25-27, at Sts. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church, 1500 Lincoln Blvd., Lorain. The week will include a light supper, crafts, games, snacks and bible lessons. Explore bible stories that show how Jesus graciously gathers us together to be with Him with His abundant provision and saving protection, now and forever. Drive-thru dinners: St. Jude Women’s Guild at 180 7th St. Columbiana, will be offering drive-thru dinners from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out) every first Thursday of the month. The menu will include stuffed pepper, homemade mashed potatoes, homemade applesauce, roll/butter & dessert.
