Library offering free meals, programs

Lorain Public Library System announced it has partnered with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Lorain County to provide kids and teens free lunches this summer in the Main Library, Domonkas Branch Library in Sheffield Lake, and South Lorain Branch Library.

Each library will also host summer programs around these lunches.

At the Main Library, youth ages 18 and under are invited to come have lunch at the Main Library between 1 and 2 p.m. every Monday from now through July 24. Participan­ts are invited to stay for the Monday afternoon family program at the end of food service.

Kids are invited to the Book Builders Club on Tuesdays, June 27 and July 11 from 11 a.m. to noon, for a story, help construct creations, and then stay for a catered lunch

Also, the Domonkas Branch, kids ages 5 through 18, can join the librarians as they read fun stories and enjoy a catered lunch.

Attend the next Lunch with a Librarian sessions on June 29 and July 6 from noon to 1 p.m.

At the South Lorain Branch, children ages 6 to 17, can enjoy a free hot lunch while staff read aloud from a family-friendly book. The story will continue at each session.

Attend from noon to 1 p.m. every Monday and Thursday now through Aug. 3.
