CLASSIC VEHICLES SHOWN AT EVENT
LaGrange IGA hosts Car Cruise-In fundraiser
LaGrange residents and classic car enthusiasts took part in the seventh annual Car Cruise-In fundraiser in the parking lot of the LaGrange IGA at 540 N. Center St. on July 29.
The fundraiser included a collection of classic cars, motorcycles and trucks of all shapes, sizes and colors with all proceeds going to benefit the LaGrange Fire Department.
LaGrange Fire Chief James Rader commended IGA and said the fundraiser has helped the department purchase necessary equipment they wouldn’t otherwise have been able to afford.
“Great weather and the best show we’ve had since the start,” Rader said. “IGA does most of the work and we are able to benefit from it.”
As a result of the last fundraiser, Rader said the department was able to purchase battery operated LED lights used by firefighters on the scene.
Local car enthusiasts were welcomed to show off their vehicle for $5 in addition to enjoying food, a 50/50 raffle and a number
