Wine tasting event to be held Sept. 27

L’Amour du Vine Wine, voted 2016 Best Charity Event by Pulse Magazine, celebrates its 20th year of tasting.

L’Amour du Vine Wine, voted 2016 Best Charity Event by Pulse Magazine, will celebrate its 20th year of wine tasting from 6-9 p.m., Sept. 27.

The annual event supports the Arthritis Foundation’s mission to conquer and cure arthritis, the nation’s leading cause of disability, according to a media release.

L’Amour du Vin will host more than 450 guests at Avon Oaks Country Club, 32300 Detroit Road in Avon.

The event will feature wine from all over the world and from local restaurants, the release said.

Restaurants include, Ahern Catering, Bistro 83, BOMBA Tacos & Rum, Bonefish Grill, Heck’s Cafe Avon, Kiedrowski’s Simply Delicious Bakery, Luca Italian Cuisine, Market Rock River, Parker’s Grille and Tavern/Parker’s Downtown, Texas de Brazil, Wine Bar Rocky River, Wood & Wine and Yard House.

Bonefish Grill will provide a special food presentation in an exclusive lounge to VIP ticket holders.

Fall inspired cocktail tastings from Brown-Forman and spa services from Exhale, also will be featured in the VIP lounge.

The event also will include an silent auction, raffles featuring a collection of restaurant gift certificates valued over $1,000, fine jewelry from Peter & Co. Jewelers and a chance to win a five-day, four-night western Caribbean cruise.

University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center, 107.3 The Wave, AM 930 WEOL and Pulse Magazine will sponsor L’Amour du Vine. Sponsorship opportunities still are available.

Event chairs are Linda Hamann of University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center and Chris Lynch of Falls Communications.

Charlotte Wray, president of University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center, is the event’s honorary chair.

General admission tickers are $75, VIP Lounge tickets are $95.
