• U.S. Air Force National Guard Airman 1st Class Abron Fenderson III graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Fenderson is the son of Abron Fenderson Jr. of Lorain, and Anita Bracy of Nashville, Tenn., and brother of Vincent Bracy of Columbus.
He is a 2007 graduate of Lorain Southview High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 2013 from Cleveland State University, Cleveland.
• U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Giovanni L. Taw graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Taw earned distinction as an honor graduate.
He is the son of Amanda L. and stepson of Shawn M. Baiers of Sheffield Lake, brother of Robert F. Taw of Amherst Township, and Dudley J. Taw of Sheffield Lake, grandson of Dudley J. Taw of Bay Village, and nephew of Francis Amato of Avon.
The airman is a 2012 graduate of Brookside High School in Sheffield. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 2016 from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio.
• U.S. Air Force National Guard Airman 1st Class Alexis A. Russell graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Russell is the daughter of George and Karen Russell and granddaughter of Mary J. Biss, all of North Ridgeville.
Russell is a 2016 graduate of Lorain County Joint Vocational School in Oberlin.
