holding North Olmsted’s tandem of Darren Anders and Ryan Connelly to 73 yards, to come away with a key 28-0 Southwestern Conference victory and improve to 5-3. North Olmsted slips to 4-4. While Amherst was keyed in on defense, junior Khennedy Scagliozzo did the damage on offense, scoring twice in the first quarter on runs of 19 and 18. Scagliozzo finished with 185 yards on 30 carries. Quarterback Matt Fairchild finished where Scagliozzo left off, scoring on a 5-yard scramble in the second quarter and connecting with Devin Holmes on a 68-yard strike in the fourth quarter.

• The Shoremen battled back from an early deficit to top the Titans, 28-24, and improve to 6-2. After BereaMidpark opened a 10-0 lead partway through the second quarter, Avon Lake stormed back with a pair of touchdowns to take the lead. The Titans regained the lead on a 9-yard run in the third quarter, 24-21, but a 2-yard pass from Jack Mikolich to Matt Sanders pushed the Shoremen to victory in the fourth quarter.

• Clearview improved to 7-1 on the season and kept its playoff and Patriot Athletic Conference title hopes

alive with a 26-16 win over visiting Fairview. Clearview used a steady approach to get the win, scoring a touchdown in each quarter. Drew Engle kicked off the scoring with a 59-yard run in the first quarter. Fairview (1-7) cut the lead in half, 6-3, with a field goal from Adam Nemeth. The Clippers opened a 26-3 lead following a pair of touchdowns from Kahliel Fendeson and one from Jaylen Paschel, then held on to weather two Marty Rehor touchdowns to emerge with a victory.

• Quarterback Bobby Weber was nearly flawless for Keystone , throwing for a pair of touchdowns and rushing for another to help the Wildcats top Wellington, 43-0, and win backto-back games for the first time this season, improving to 4-4 overall in the process. Weber kicked off scoring in the first on a 12-yard run. He also connected on a 65yard strike to Justin Able in the second quarter, with a pair of Dylan Naylor touchdowns helping the Wildcats build a 29-0 halftime lead. Jack Corraini added a third quarter touchdown on a 4-yard run, with a 40yard pass from Weber to Karson Cendrosky capping the scoring.

• A slow start by Oberlin

was not enough to douse its fire, as the Phoenix overcame a 14-0 deficit to top host Lutheran West and improve to 3-5 on the season. After falling behind on a 37-yard punt return by Lutheran West’s Jeremy Geye and a 54-yard pass from Rory Zakareckis to Shawn Naim, Oberlin used its dual-threat quarterback Devan Yarber to take over the game. Yarber was 5-for-15 for 131 yards and two touchdowns, adding 36 carries for 245 yards and a pair of touchdowns, to help bring the Phoenix back for a conference victory. Also scoring for Oberlin was Jeremy Austin on a fumble recovery, Aaron Arnold on a pair of receptions and Ravon Eisom on a 44yard run.
