Gratitude expressed

-

I am writing to thank Missy and Holly, two employees who work at Cabela’s in Avon. I went to the store in search of batteryoperated fans to send to my sister and niece in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. They were in need of the fans because my niece has a new baby and the heat was unbearable for them.

I went to the store and both of these young ladies helped me locate the fans. Missy found them and showed them to me. I was excited to have gotten them, but they were expensive so I was only able to afford two of them.

As I was headed to the registers, Missy tapped my shoulder and asked if I was able to use another fan? I told her of course, but that I couldn’t afford another one. She then offered to purchase one for me. I was taken aback by such generosity and kindness. I had to politely decline as I told her that I was not buying for a public donation, but that I was helping my family.

So both girls offered their employee discounts for the purchases, which was very helpful in the cost. I told the young ladies that they can donate to the relief fund, if they so choose.

I was overcome by their unselfishness in wanting to help me. These two young ladies made me rethink that there is still kindness, generosity, and trust in our world today. I want to express my gratitude, and tell the management team at Cabela’s that they are very fortunate to have two angels on their staff. They weren’t only about trying to make a sale, they truly cared.

Missy and Holly, thank you from the bottom of my heart. My sister and niece thank you also. God bless.
