Erie Ave., Lorain, will host a dinner after the 4 p.m. Mass on the first Saturday of each month. The menu will be different each month and prepared by the St. Anthony kitchen crew. The cost of each dinner will be only $10. Join us for our December Monthly Dinner on Dec. 2, in our Social Hall. The menu will be our Kitchen Crews famous spaghetti and meatballs with salad, bread, beverage, and lemon squares for dessert. You can RSVP by calling the Parish Office at 440-288-0106. Carry-out is available Pierogi sale: St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 3038 Charleston Ave., Lorain, will sell potato/ cheese pierogis for $8 per dozen Nov. 17. Call the morning of Nov. 16 to place an order at 440-277-9080, and pick up the order from 9-11:30 a.m. Nov. 17. Banquet marks anniversar­y: Wesley United Methodist Church will celebrate 124 years of service in the Lorain community at 5 p.m. on Nov. 11, with a church banquet at the Harrison Centre, 1922 Hamilton Ave., Lorain. Lady Glenda Jones will be the featured speaker. She is a retired educator who taught 35 years in the Lorain City Schools. Currently, Lady Glenda Jones is involved in the men and women’s ministry, Christian Liturgical Praise Team Ministry and many other church activities at the Unity Faith Missionary Baptist Church. Thanksgivi­ng service: The North Ridgeville Community Thanksgivi­ng service will be Nov. 19 at Harvest Ridge Church, 35600 Lorain Road, North Ridgeville. The service begins at 7 p.m. and will include an offering taken to benefit Community Care of North Ridgeville. The service is sponsored by the North Ridgeville Ministeria­l Associatio­n. Golden Agers programs: The Golden Agers will meet at 11:30 a.m., Nov. 15, in the Social Hall at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Amherst. The luncheon and program will be given by Kingston of Vermilion. The donation is either $4 or $4 worth of canned goods, paper products, peanut butter, or boxed goods to support the St. Joseph’s Vincentian­s food pantry at St. Joseph’s The 2018 $5 membership dues will be available in November and December. Tickets for the Christmas luncheon are $7 for members and $10 for non-members. No tickets will be sold at the door in December and there must be a headcount by Dec. 6. The Christmas luncheon is on the second Wednesday, Dec. 13. The menu is roasted sirloin steak, oven-baked chicken, pork chops, mashed potatoes, stuffing, glazed baby carrots, green beans, salad, rolls, cookies, pie, and drinks. Any flea market items, including Thanksgivi­ng and Christmas items, may be donated for the sale. There will be a raffle. For questions, call Pattie at 440-222-5981. Pierogi sale: St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 E. Erie Ave., Lorain, will be selling the “Famous Pierogi” from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Nov. 22 in the Social Hall. Patrons will be able to purchase cooked, prepared pierogi or buy them frozen. The menu will include pierogi — $7 per dozen frozen or $8 per dozen cooked; cabbage and noodles $3 small or $6 large. A new item of macaroni and cheese for $3 small or $6 large; or the New Pierogi To Go Dinner which includes six Pierogi, cabbage and noodles, and macaroni and cheese for $10 per dinner and also a dessert pierogi of either apple or cherry filling will be offered at a cost of three for $2; six for $4 or a dozen for $8. Pre-orders may be made by calling 440-934-4482. Turkey dinner: Cornerston­e Church, 2949 W. River Road, North, Elyria will host a turkey dinner from 4 to 6 p.m., Nov. 11, at the church. Dinners are $8 for adults and $6 for children younger than 10. The dinner includes turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, vegetable, roll, beverage and dessert. Carry-out will be available. Public invited to worship: Fields United Methodist Church, 34077 Lorain Road, North Ridgeville, invites the public to join in worship at 7:30 Wednesday evenings. No need to be a member; worship is open to everybody who just wants to take 30 minutes or so to recharge their spiritual batteries midway through the week.
