Jumping in the air and into massive ball pits has become an open invite for children and adults of all ages at Elyria’s new Altitude Trampoline Park, 110 Market Drive.

The park opened Nov. 22 and had a great response for its first opening weekend, said owner Bradley Mabry. Altitude Park is a franchise business out of Dallas, TX and made it’s way to Elyria’s Midway Market Square off of West Erie Avenue to give the community an opportunity for fun, he said.

Mabry, who is from Louisiana, said he brought his family to Ohio for a business that so far is already life-changing. He said that although the park isn’t the first of its kind in Lorain County, it offers much more for the City of Elyria and neighboring cities. The park includes a thick matted floor with open space for events, a large area for free jumping, basketball hoops, foam pits, dodgeball areas, rock climbing and more.

The park also offers designated areas to jump for children and kids of

all ages to promote safety throughout all hours of the day, he said. They even offer toddler times in the mornings for children to play at a discounted price and accommodate to teenagers and adults further on into the week and weekend, he said. To assist all jumpers, the park includes court side employees to have fun and monitor during all hours.

Mabry said his staff has been very hardworking and respectful while preparing for opening day and have been remarkable working with each other and customers since.

Mabry said that he wants to focus on fun for families, but most importantly on cleanliness and the park’s presentation.

“People have to care,” he said.

Mabry and his staff worked together inside and outside of the park to spread the message that caring about your business is important, he said. He added he wants his staff to focus on teamwork and diligence so they can be prepared for jobs in the future.

According to Mabry, the park offers more affordable prices when compared to other competitors.

“Coming from a big family, I understand that affordability can be a task at times,” said Mabry. “We’ve become more affordable to give more opportunities for all people to visit and have fun.”

Cassandra Limon and her sister Leanndra, both of Elyria, visited the park with their young children and said that they have been to a similar park before, but at Altitude, there is more to for their kids and it’s inexpensive.

“It’s awesome that this park is not expensive and I love that it’s so close to home,” said Cassandra. “Both of our kids really enjoy it here.”

Both sisters said they we were even thinking about getting sitters for their children and so all of the adults they bring can get together for dodgeball.

Mabry said it’s a breath of fresh air to hear that all of the time and energy that was put into the park is already paying off. Parents have been thanking Altitude for bringing many opportunities to the city, he said

“I thought it would simply be a business for families and kids to have a good time,” he said. “But, it seems to be a big thing for Elyria already. This is what the community wanted. It’s become more than a business, and it makes it worth it.”

Although the park is already open, General Manager Candace Billings said the park will have an official grand opening on Dec. 8, due to not opening on it’s original planned date.

The grand opening will begin Friday afternoon and continue through the weekend on Sunday night, said Mabry. He shared that everyone can jump for an hour for $8.
