Deadline is the Tuesday before the Saturday of publication. We cannot guarantee publication. Music Fest: Lorain Faith UMC, 2201 Reid Ave., Lorain, will host a Music Fest from 7 to 9 p.m., Dec. 21. The first hour will feature new and familiar songs. There is talk of Santa Claus making a special appearance to sing. Songs such as “O Holy Night” and others will be sung. Light refreshments will be served followed by an open mic or sing along session. Parking is located across the street. Admission is free, however a Love Offering will be accepted. Erie Ave., Lorain, will sell the Famous Pierogi from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Dec. 22 in the Social Hall. Shoppers will be able to purchase cooked, prepared pierogi or buy them frozen for Christmas gatherings. The menu will include pierogi — $7 per dozen frozen or $8 per dozen cooked; cabbage and noodles — $3 small or $6 large; macaroni & Cheese — $3 small or $6 large; Pierogi To Go Dinner, which includes six pierogi, cabbage & noodles, and macaroni & cheese — $10; and Dessert Pierogi: Apple or Cherry — 3/$2, 6/$4 or 12/$8. New Year’s Even service: Pastors Darrell and Vanessa Young will host a New Year’s Eve Worship Service 10 p.m. to midnight Dec. 31 at Point of Grace Ministries, 6892 Lake Ave., Elyria. Polka Mass: St. Frances Cabrini Altar and Rosary Society (former St. John), at the corner of Grove Avenue and Homewood Drive in Lorain, will host a Polka Mass at 11 a.m. Jan. 14, 2018. All are welcome. Immediately following will be a stuffed pork chop dinner/polka party in the social hall. Doors open at noon. Music for the Mass and dancing is provided by Ed Klimczak, with dinner being served from noon to 3 p.m. Adult tickets cost $15 per person. Children age 3 and under eat free. There is a children’s menu of hot dog and mac and cheese for $5 per child. There will be a Chinese raffle, 50⁄50 and a children’s game corner. To purchase tickets, call the rectory at 440-277-7266. Pierogies for sale: St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 3038 Charleston Avenue, Lorain, will sell potato/cheese pierogies for $8 per dozen on Dec. 22. Call the morning of, Dec. 21 at 440-2779080 to place an order for pick up from 9-11:30 a.m., Dec. 22. A limited number of sauerkraut pierogi’s will be available on Dec. 22 at $9 per dozen.
