BAY, JUNIOR » WRESTLING, 195-POUND On the mat: Cover won the JC Gorman Invitational title this past weekend and earned the William Flanegan Most Outstanding Wrestler award 26 years after his father won the award. It was his fourth title this season and he is 22-1 overall.

On the court: In three Southwestern Conference victories, Hanna tallied 66 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals, helping keep the Bulldogs perfect in conference play.
Maeve Johnston
BAY, JUNIOR » BASKETBALL, FORWARD
On the court: In a 51-21 victory over North Olmsted, Johnston had 24 points on 9 of 12 shooting, including 4 of 5 from beyond the arc. She added six rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block.
Liam Kruger
WESTLAKE, JUNIOR » WRESTLING, 132-POUND
On the mat: Kruger went 6-0in duals last week vs. Berea-Midpark, North Olmsted and in the Bedford dual tournament. He went 4-0in the Bedford duals and was named outstanding wrestler 145pounds and under. He had three pins out of the six wins.
Justin Ocheltree
KEYSTONE, SENIOR » WRESTLING, 195-POUND
On the mat: Ocheltree won the Plymouth Tournament title, picking up five pins and earned the outstanding wrestler award. It came on the heels of him taking fifth at the Brecksville Holiday Tournament while picking up his 100th win.

AVON LAKE, SOPHOMORE » SWIMMING
In the pool: At the Elyria Catholic Pentathlon, Schillinger placed 15th overall, qualifying for the 100 IM, where she was given a quick IM tutorial prior to the race, having never swam the IM, breaststroke, or butterfly in Shoregals competition previously.

NORTH OLMSTED, JUNIOR » HOCKEY, FORWARD On the ice: In key Red South victories over Cleveland Heights and Midview, Vertosnik was at his best. The junior netted three goals in a 3-1 win over Cleveland Heights and had a goal and two assists in a 5-2 win over Midview.
