Living Stations of the Cross: The Living Stations of the Cross will be performed by students of Elyria Catholic High School at 7 p.m., March 11. While praying the stations, those attending will witness each Station come to life in dramatic fashion and feel like you are there, as we explore the thoughts of those who walked with Christ. This is a powerful performanc­e, for the entire family. The event will take place at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Parish, 2143 Homewood Drive, Lorain. Pirohi, rolls, paska for sale: St. Nicholas Byzantine Parish, 2711 W. 40th St., Lorain, is selling potato pirohi for $8.50 per dozen on March 9, with pickup from 1-3 p.m. To place an order, call 440-282-7525. Orders for nut, poppyseed and apricot rolls at $14 each, will be taken March 5-9. Pickup March 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Orders for paska (round or long loaf, raisin and plain) at $7 each, will be taken March 12-16. Pickup is March 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fish fry dinners: St. Joseph Parish and School, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst, will host Fish Fry dinners from 5 to 7 p.m. March 9, 16, 23 and 30, with several options available. Dinners are $13.50 and each Friday a different Parish group will be helping. For details, call 440-988-2848. Sociables to gather: St. Anthony Senior Sociables will resume the monthly meetings on March 15. The group meets at 12:30 p.m. at the Sugar Creek Restaurant in the shopping center at the corner of Abbe and Detroit Roads, Elyria. Each member will pay for his/her own meal. Kolbasz sale: A Kolbasz (fresh sausage) sale sponsored by the American Hungarian Council of Lorain County, Inc., will be noon to 2 p.m. March 24 at the Hungarian Reformed Church,1691 E. 31st St., Lorain. Kolbasz is available in 2-pound rings for $9. Orders may be placed with the church office from 9 a.m. to noon, weekdays at 440 – 277-8177. Deadline for placing orders is March 16. If you leave a message you will receive a call back to confirm your order. Orders via Facebook are not available at this time. Pierogis for sale: St. Anthony of Padua Parish Church and School, 1339 East Erie Ave. Lorain, will sell pierogis on March 9, 16, 23 and 30. Available are potato w/cheese or sauerkraut. Cooked is $8 a dozen with butter and onions or frozen $7 a dozen. Cabbage and noodles and macaroni and cheese will also be available. There also will be a “Pierogi To Go Dinner” that includes six pierogi, cabbage and noodles and macaroni and cheese for $10. Walk-ins are welcome. Mark’s Gospel Live: Mark’s Gospel Live! will be 7 p.m. March 15, at St. Jude Church, 590 Poplar Street, Elyria. Experience the entire Gospel of St. Mark in two hours of storytelli­ng by priest and actor, Rev. Joseph Morris. Not a reading or talk but a dynamic proclamati­on of an ancient story about God’s healing love. Pastors from the UK, Canada, and the USA have called this performanc­e “mesmerizin­g,” “powerful,” and “a profound experience.” Admission: Free-will offering. Lenten fish fry dinners: St. Joseph Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst, will host the annual Lenten fish dinners again this season. The dinners will be served every Friday in Lent. Dinners will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. A lake perch, shrimp or combo dinner will cost $13.50 or two for $26. All profits will benefit ministries within the church.
