Elyria Catholic vs. Doylestown Chippewa

What: Division III Cuyahoga Falls regional final When: 1:30 p.m., March 10 Where: Cuyahoga Falls High School, 2300 Fourth St., Cuyahoga Falls For the record: Talk about two teams that are basically mirror images of each other this season. Both teams have used tremendous defensive pressure to make it this far — Elyria Catholic has allowed an average of 36.5 points per game, compared to Chippewa’s 31.8. Both have veteran leaders that help keep the calm: Elyria Catholic’s Megan Scheibelhut and Faith Williams vs. Chippewa’s Katie Richardson and Samantha Storad. And both played a daunting non-conference schedule to get the this point, with the Panthers playing the likes of Strongsville, Walsh Jesuit, Massillon Washington, Cornerstone Christian, Gilmour, Akron SVSM and Minster, while the Chipps faced off with Akron Hoban, Olmsted Falls, Padua, Hathaway Brown and Lake Ridge . ... Chippewa finished the regular season as the No. 4 team in the Associated Press Division III poll, and brings a perfect 26-0 record into the regional final . ... The Chipps are by no means strangers to regional play, with this season marking Chippewa’s fourth-straight journey past districts. However, the Chipps have struggled to advance past the regional final, with two state semifinal appearances in school history — 2015 and 1994 . ... Chippewa features a balanced offense, with sophomore Celina Koncz and Storad typically leading the charge from the guard position. Both average double-digit scoring for the season. Koncz dropped 24 in the Chipps regional semifinal win over Canfield South Range . ... Elyria Catholic will have to be strong around the perimeter. Chippewa is a tough team to catch when then open up a lead, and they can connect from beyond the arc as well as any team in the state. South Range learned that lesson the hard way, as the Chipps connected on three triples out of the gate to open an early 11-2 lead that the Raiders never rebounded from . ... Elyria Catholic will sport a size advantage. Chippewa’s tallest starter is Koncz at 6-foot, while the Panthers feature three starters taller than she — Scheibelhut (6-foot-2), Ally Winnen (6-foot-1) and Abby Winnen (6-foot-1). Expect the Panthers to have a distinct rebounding edge, which, in a game between two defensive powerhouses, could be the difference in this one . ... Elyria Catholic will not have to play the prettiest of games. The Panthers have to make the hard-nosed plays, get after each loose ball and lock down on the outside. However, if they can do that, the Panthers could be back in Columbus for the first time since 2011.

Behm’s pick: Elyria Catholic Behm’s record: 28-5
