Edward J. Mariotti, age 91, of Vermilion passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. He was born on August, 25, 1926 in Lorain, Ohio to Zaccario and Marie (nee Cherubini) Mariotti. He enlisted with the United States Army and served his country in World War II as an MP. Edward worked as a diesel mechanic for US Steel, retiring in 1988. Edward enjoyed working on and driving cars. He was a collector of treasures and loved his dogs. He is survived by his wife, Renee (nee Reber) Mariotti; step-children, Elizabeth Clark, Candace Barczyk, Monique (Scott) Kwiatkowsk­i, Steve (Denise) Barczyk, and Nicole stepShinsk­y; grandchild­ren, Holly (Brian) King, Alexis Beasley, Kwintyn Shinsky, Brianne, Allison, Zachary, and Ethan Kwiatkowsk­i, Makaylee, Riley, and Ronan Barczyk; sister, Mary Mager; nieces, nephews, great nieces, and greatnephe­ws.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, ZaccaAdeli­ne rio and Marie Mariotti; and siblings, Harry Mariotti, Fazekas, Martin Mariotti, Thelma Mariotti, and Bette Poley.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral center. Rev. Father Ron Brickner, Pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
