Local students named to dean’s list
Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its fall 2017 Dean’s List.
In order to qualify for the Dean’s List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.
The following local students have achieved this honor:
• Caroline Adler, class of 2020 from Westlake
• Zachary Fechter, class of 2019 from Avon Lake
• Joshua Gluck, class of 2021 from Bay Village.
Charlie Nash of Norwalk is one of six Baldwin Wallace University wrestling student-athletes to be named to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.
In order to be selected to the Academic All-OAC team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
Nash, who was selected to his first Academic AllOAC team, is an economics major who carries a 3.61 GPA.
He is a Dean’s List student, and a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. He is also a 2018 NCAA Division III All-Central Region selection and a National Tournament qualifier.
This season, Nash has compiled a 26-12 record with nine pins and two technical falls and has 52 wins for his career.
