Colgate University announces honors

Colgate University announced its fall 2017 Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence.

Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.3 or higher while completing at least three courses earn the fall 2017 Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence. The list includes: • Peter Bulan, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2021, is a graduate of Saint Edward High School, from Vermilion. Bulan’s current major is mathematical economics.

• Lily Kuentz, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2021, is a graduate of Lake Ridge Academy, from Westlake. Kuentz’s current major is astrogeophysics.

Veronica Switzer-Poplar, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2019, is a graduate of Bay High School, from Bay Village. Switzer-Poplar’s current major is biochemistry.

The following students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses during the fall 2017 semester earned the Dean’s Award with Distinction:

• Aidan Harrington, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2021, is a graduate of Saint Edward High School, from Avon. Harrington’s current major is environmental studies.

• Alden DeBouter, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2019, is a graduate of Oberlin Senior High School, from Oberlin. DeBouter’s current major is anthropology.
