Young women to be recognized at cotillion
The Lorain County Section of the National Council of Negro Women Inc. will sponsor its first Vision of Beauty; Masterpiece of Greatness Cotillion at 6 p.m. March 24 at Elegant Assets, 1514 Lake Ave. in Elyria, according to a news release.
The Council Negro Women has released the names of the participants. They are:
• Angelia Dean of Elyria, a senior at JVS/ Elyria High. She is the daughter of Tiara Dean.
• Ariana Hall of Lorain, a senior at Early College High School. She is the daughter of Sharonda Hall.
• Alice Howard of Avon, a senior at Lorain High School. She is the daughter of Charles and Valerie Howard.
• Ammyah Miller of Elyria, a senior at Elyria High School. She is the daughter of Kevin and Yvette Miller.
• Jazzman Pearson of Elyria, a senior at Elyria High. She is the daughter of Pamela Pearson.
• Maya Todd of Elyria, a senior at Elyria High. She is the daughter of Brian and Lesli Todd.
• Alyssa White of Elyria, a senior at Elyria High. She is the daughter of Marjorie Oliver and the late Lester White Jr.
Members of the cotillion committee are: Tamara L. Jones, Regan L. Phillips and Elaine Shores, who is the choreographer.
