Agencies to host prescripti­on turn-in day

The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force and partner agencies will have their 18th annual prescripti­on turn-in day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 28, according to a news release.

The Drug Task Force is the turn in day is an excellent way for residents to dispose of outdated or no longer needed medication­s as it keeps them out of the water supply and away from unintended users, the release read.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking for all prescripti­on labels to be removed and stressed no personal informatio­n is ever asked and medication is kept by law enforcemen­t until it is disposed of, according to the release. Participat­ing locations: • Amherst Police Department, 911 N. Lake St.
