Agencies to host prescription turn-in day
The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force and partner agencies will have their 18th annual prescription turn-in day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 28, according to a news release.
The Drug Task Force is the turn in day is an excellent way for residents to dispose of outdated or no longer needed medications as it keeps them out of the water supply and away from unintended users, the release read.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking for all prescription labels to be removed and stressed no personal information is ever asked and medication is kept by law enforcement until it is disposed of, according to the release. Participating locations: • Amherst Police Department, 911 N. Lake St.
