PLAYERS TO WATCH

M Eric Bechtel, Sr., Westlake: Scored 41 goals and notched 21 assists en route to second team All-Region honors last year. A Chris Eifert, Sr., Bay: Tricky player to defend with a knack for finding the net. Third team All-Ohio last year.

A Nolan Weaver, Jr., Rocky River: Scored 31 goals last season in spite of youth and a difficult schedule. Should take a step forward this year.

A Tanner Tracy, Sr., Avon Lake: Smart player with a great eye for the open man. Notched 57 points last year (25 goals, 32 assists). G Julien Boudreaux, Sr., Avon Lake: Has spent years waiting for the goalie spot to open. The Shoremen’s success will be largely due to Boudreaux’s play. M Allison Kortowich, Jr., Avon: One of the Eagles’ emerging you stars. Scored 20 goals to go with 22 assists last year.

A Olivia Schumacker, Sr., Rocky River: A catalyst of the Pirates’ successful 2017 campaign, Schumacker had 48 goals and six assists.

A Marina Wilson, Sr., Avon Lake: A second team All-Region selection last year, Wilson had 62 goals and 41 assists to go with 34 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers.

M Alexa Prexta, So., Westlake: Prexta looks to improve on a breakout freshman season in which she scored 18 goals to go with four assists, 34 draw controls, 86 ground balls, 12 interceptions and 30 caused turnovers.
